The Sounds of The Supremes™
led by 70’s/’80’s “Supreme” Kaaren Ragland

As a member of The Supremes from 1977 Kaaren Ragland performed at the London Palladium and many other venues throughout the U.K., Europe, and the USA coupled with tours of Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia in the ‘70’s. In the ‘80’s she appeared with The Supremes before Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret in London, at Finland’s prestigious “Pori Jazz Festival”, the “Bottom Line” Club in Nagoya, Japan, “Carnival” in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and throughout Australia on the “Legends of Rock” tour in 1989.

Since founding The Sounds of The Supremes™ in 1989, with whom she has appeared in over 50 countries, Kaaren and her group that also includes Kathy Merrick and Althea Burkhalter have achieved many accolades. In 1998 the Mayor of Springfield, Illinois, declared August 21st
“The Sounds of The Supremes™ Day”, and the same year the Australian Entertainment Industry honored them with a “Mo Award”. More recently Radio Regenborgen, Germany presented the group with their 2001 “Lifetime Achievement Award” “for keeping the music of alive”. Now, in 2007 the ladies release “Live At Highcere Castle” England nationwide in stores, September on Succession Records

The Motown Sound that influenced a generation has shown itself to be one of the most enduring contributions to American Pop music history, and The Sounds of The Supremes™ have achieved a remarkable degree of worldwide success presenting this musical legacy. London’s “What’s On” described their energy packed show featuring more than 20 of The Supremes hit songs as “a non-stop bravura performance of immense vitality” recreating “perfectly the frenetic style and sound of the original lineup”.
